QCP INVESTS IN TECHNOLOGY TO AID IN PATIENT SAFETY

In keeping with our mission, Queen City Physicians purchased an electronic medical record (EMR) technology to ensure that legibility is not a concern with its patient's medical records and prescriptions. Legibility of physicians' handwriting has always been a national concern.

Queen City Physicians was the first doctors group in Ohio authorized by the Board of Pharmacy to send pharmacies "electronic prescriptions". Using software developed by A4 Health Systems, QCP can generate and send prescriptions directly to area pharmacies.

Sending prescriptions electronically will diminish the time physician office and pharmacy staffs spend "on-hold" waiting to communicate about a patient's medication request, greatly improving efficiency and service.

QCP's patients find that this process also reduces the time they spend waiting at pharmacies to get their medication.
