Offer Walk-In Strep Clinic
Parents, we know you are busy
and your free time is limited. It gets even more
constrained when you have a sick child. Now there is a
quick place to go when you suspect your child has strep
throat. Queen City Physicians Western Hills and Harrison
Pediatric Offices offer a walk-in strep
clinic for their established patients. QCP staff
will perform a quick throat swab and initial results will
be available while you wait. An appropriate antibiotic will
be prescribed if the test is positive.
Hours of operation are:
Monday-Friday
8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
and
2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday
8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Please note the following
details of this clinic:
✓Available at our Western Hills and Harrison
Pediatric offices .
✓No appointment is required
✓For established patients of Western Hills and
Harrison pediatric offices. (patients who have been seen
previously by one of our pediatricians or nurse
practitioners.)
✓For children 5 years of age or older
✓ Only symptoms for this strep test service are sore
throat and/or fever. So if your child has fever, sore
throat and congestion, we ask that you call to schedule an
appointment with a physician in order to rule out such
things as ear or sinus infection.
✓Any patient who has already had two positive strep tests
in the last three months is required to make an appointment
with a physician instead. Please call our offices to
schedule appointment.
